World Leprosy Day

The school of Physiotherapy, in collaboration with the District tuberculosis centre Rajkot, proudly commemorated World Leprosy Day, a significant occasion dedicated to raising awareness about leprosy and eliminating stigma associated with the disease. The event aimed to educate and spread awareness about leprosy, its prevention, treatment, and the importance of early detection.
The awareness talk was attended by 160 students of bachelors of physiotherapy
An Informative session was conducted by DR. GHANSHYAM MEHTA (district TB officer) and his team which included, DR. SURESH LAKKAD, DR BADAL VACHHANI and MAHESH RACHH (DPS). The awareness talk focused on various aspects of leprosy, including its causes, symptoms, and available treatments.
The event embarked at 10 :30 AM and was concluded at 12:00 PM
Engaging activity after the awareness talk included E-poster presentation by the BPT students to encourage active participation and enhance understanding.
The poster presentation was conducted at the smart room at SPT from 1:00 P.M and was wrapped up at 2:00 P.M
